Strum along with me....

I enjoyed making this Iris fold project by recycling business envelopes. The strings are gold cord and the tuning pegs (or whatever they are called) are glitter glue. Corner punched layers on an All Night Media stamped background. Another iris fold project can be found here.

Thanks for coming by today -- please lmk what you think.

Potted Iris

Potted Iris? – well not exactly – this is an Iris fold project that looks like a pot – I used a southwestern theme with the papers and added the stamped images — the lizard and rock formations are from an unknown company. There is an incredible amount of patterns available for iris folding – and it is also fun to design your own. This one was designed by Hetty as a purse -- I turned it upside down to create the pot and I sent a picture to her so she could see how her design could be something entirely different when made by someone from Arizona. I've lost track of her or I would give you a link. Iris folding is a wonderful project and can be portable. I did a lot of these when I was working out of town and needed something crafty to do in my hotel room in the evenings. I sometimes even resorted to making strips of paper from a hotel magazine!
